Dr Farhana Alam is a compassionate General Practitioner who is passionate about supporting patients throughout every stage of their health journey. She is committed to providing patient-centred, evidence-based care and enjoys working collaboratively with individuals and families to achieve their health and wellbeing goals.
Dr Alam is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), having attained her fellowship in 2023. She also holds a Diploma in Child Health (DCH) from the University of Sydney, awarded in 2015. Prior to general practice, she worked as a Resident Medical Officer at Wollongong Hospital under NSW Health and has accumulated more than eight years of clinical experience across public hospitals and general practices throughout New South Wales, including the Hunter-Manning region through the Australian General Practice Training (AGPT) program.
Dr Alam enjoys caring for patients of all ages, from babies and children through to older adults. Her special interests include child health, women’s health, preventative health, chronic disease management, and mental health care. She values continuity of care and believes in empowering patients through education, shared decision-making, and personalised healthcare plans.
Outside of work, Dr Alam enjoys travelling, listening to music, watching movies, and spending quality time with her family.
